J. Robert Newman, M.D.

Dr. Bobby Newman completed his undergraduate degree in finance at Berry College in his hometown of Rome, Georgia and then moved on to the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, to complete his doctorate. Dr. Newman then completed a general surgery internship and his residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Newman joined The ENT Center in 2013 and is board-certified in otolaryngology. He earned his Focused Practice Designation (FPD) in adult complex thyroid and parathyroid surgery (ACTPS) from the American Board of Surgery (ABS), in recognition of a high-volume surgical management of complex thyroid and parathyroid disease processes. Married with three children, his hobbies include serving at his church, fishing and gardening.
